Black Wealth Exchange is a mission-driven platform focused on economic empowerment within the Black community. We are building a feature-rich ecosystem that includes a marketplace, job board, business directory, investment tools, and premium content. We’re looking for a highly motivated and skilled Full-Stack Developer to collaborate directly with the founder to enhance and scale the platform. You will take ownership of both backend and frontend tasks, assist with database design, improve security, and build powerful, user-centric features.

Responsibilities Collaborate with the founder to execute development tasks based on project needs and priorities. Maintain, build, and optimize responsive web pages using Next.js (v15+), TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. Implement and improve features like user dashboards, employer dashboards, job boards, business directories, and seller tools. Connect and manage backend functionality with MongoDB Atlas and RESTful API routes. Integrate third-party services like Stripe for payments and ensure secure transactions. Ensure mobile responsiveness, SEO best practices, accessibility, and performance optimization across the site. Support site security implementation, including anti-scraping/content protection measures. Participate in code reviews, testing, and QA processes as needed.

Collaborate with Authors: Work closely with authors to understand their vision and goals for the fantasy world and story, providing feedback and guidance throughout the editing process. Ensure Internal Consistency: Help authors maintain a consistent and believable fantasy world by tracking details, rules, and terminology, ensuring they are applied correctly throughout the story. Improve Writing Quality: Edit for clarity, flow, and style, ensuring the writing is engaging and accessible to the target audience. Develop and Refine the Story: Help authors shape the story's structure, plot, character development, and pacing, ensuring the story is compelling and satisfying. Identify and Correct Errors: Catch and correct errors in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and factual inconsistencies, ensuring the final product is polished and professional. Manage Deadlines: Work efficiently and effectively to meet publishing deadlines, ensuring the project stays on schedule. Maintain Relationships: Build and maintain positive working relationships with authors, agents, and other publishing professionals. Stay Up-to-Date: Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in editing and publishing.
